James Szczesny, President and Certified Master Inspector

With over 20 years of experience in construction, I decided that the need for honest, reliable home inspectors was in short supply, so I started 4 Seasons Home Inspections.  Having been an inspector for 7 years, and with thousands of home inspections under my belt, I bring a friendly professional home inspection experience to your door step.  I remain current of all changes building codes, as well as continuing my education by attending workshops and seminars to keep abreast of all current trends.   I work tirelessly to insure that when you call me, you are getting the best home inspection that you can to protect your home and loved ones. When you hire me or anyone at 4 Seasons you are not just getting an inspector, you are getting the professional service that you and your home deserve.  After I do my inspection, you will receive a computer generated assessment of the condition of your home, along with embedded pictures of any problem areas, and I will follow up with you for any questions or concerns that may arise.  I want to make sure that you are as informed as you can be so I have also created videos on line as a reference for you to use in addition to my knowledge.  I am a Master Inspector, and as the only one in the Seattle area, I am more than qualified to tackle any challenge that your house may present.  I am also in compliance with all the InterNACHI standards and code of ethics.

What is a Master Inspector?

A master inspector is a title awarded to an inspector once they have reached the lofty standards and high level of competency that the board of certifications has set forth.  They have also:

  • Completed 1,000 fee-paid inspections and/or hours of inspection-related Continuing Education courses (combined) in their lifetime;
  • Proved they’ve been in the inspection business for at least three years;
  • Abide by the Master Inspector Certification Board Code of Ethics;
    • Substantially follow a Board-approved Standards of Practice;

*I am the only board certified Master inspector in the Seattle area.

Why do you want a Master Inspector?

I know that when you call a home inspector you are putting your trust into someone to assess the condition of your most valuable asset, your home.   The safety of your family and the value of your home are very important to you.  You want the assurance that you are hiring the best and most professional person you can to do a precise and accurate job.  When you hire me you are getting just that.  I am going to treat your home like I would treat mine, with respect and the consideration for what is going to happening in it for years to come.

I am a transplant to the Seattle area by way of Texas, but have made the Pacific Northwest my home.  I have set down roots here by starting a family and this business, and I take pride in my work and in my community.  I have built up my reputation over the last 20 years through hard work, honesty, and a commitment to provide my customers with superb professional service.  I realize that it only takes one mistake to ruin the accumulation of all these accolades, so I approach each job as if I were inspecting the house for my wife and daughter.   I stand by my work and by the work of my employees because we know exactly how important and valuable your home is to you.
